Bruce Forsyth and Wilnelia Merced
'He is such a gentleman. He knows how to treat a woman. He's very romantic.'
Wilnelia who is from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, was one of the contestants in a Miss World contest Bruce was judging back in the 70s, he was so impressed he ended up marrying her.
On their first date the couple danced non-stop for two hours and at their wedding in 1979, Bruce serenaded her with 'Yours (Quiereme Mucho)' before an audience of 50 guests.
During the 1980s, Wilnelia and Bruce travelled back and forth between their British home and Puerto Rico, where he learned her country's culture and she would keep in touch with her family and friends. The couple also founded a charity to help Puerto Rico's under-privileged children. Wilnelia declared Puerto Rico to be her first home, and England her second.
The couple have one son Jonathan Joseph and Bruce has five daughters from his first two marriages Debbie, Julie and Laura from his marriage, in 1953, to dancer Penny Calvert; and Charlotte and Louisa by his second wife, Anthea Redfern.
After almost 30-years together the couple are still very much in love. Wilnelia who is 32 years his junior says of Bruce, 'He is such a gentleman. He knows how to treat a woman. He's very romantic.'
Bruce says, 'Wilnelia is not only a beautiful woman, she is also the nicest person.'
