Mpho One To Watch
Backing singer set for stardom.
Next time Natasha Beddingfield is on TV, take a look at her backing singers and you'll spot Mpho Skeef.
Tipped to become a star in her own right in 2005, Mpho was born in South Africa to mixed-race parents. She spent her first birthday in prison with her mother, who had been arrested for protesting against apartheid.
In 1980 the family fled to Brixton, where Mpho still lives with her five year-old daughter.
Her debut album is due to be released later this year.
