Sonja (left) - Being mixed race in London is cool. At the moment, we're a "must have" for nearly all Channel 4's adverts! I believe that as long as we are fully integrated with our Black/Asian side of our cultures, we then have the best of both worlds. It's always good to remember that we still fit in an ethnic minority category and let us never try to be otherwise. We do not stand alone in being "white + other"; we need to be an understanding part of both.

Gita (right) - I am lucky in this relationship as Sonja is in touch completely with her Asian and Black roots even though that’s only one half of her. Our principals and love and acceptance of 'our families' are the same. It's always good to keep in mind that 'No person's an island.' We are all, no matter what race, colour or creed, still part of a bigger picture.
