Most people find comfort and convenience with answers in Black and White. But it is often the answers in Grey which causes intrigue, fascination and even provocation.

I see myself and other mixed race people in the Third Space - the Grey Zone. A zone where there is still intrigue, fascination and sometimes irritation. A zone where we are rarely accepted fully by one culture or another. Like answers in Grey, the Third Space is a place hard to define. A place where we have at times struggled to be understood, as well as the struggle to understand ourselves. As time goes by, everyone in the world will be in this Third Space and the struggle to understand and be understood will become a thing of the past.
