Mother from Eritrea, father from Holland - Student

I am proud of being mixed race. I don't feel any different from anyone else. Being mixed race has never been an issue. I've never been discriminated against, but everyone sees me as the Black girl with big hair.

My mother brought me up like a Dutch for me to get more chances in life. 

I haven't been around many Eritrean people, just the members of my family. I've been in several mixed race relationships, taking them as they are, not because of their race. Maybe when I have my own children, I'll look for my Eritrean background.
