I only know the motherland. Africa is still waiting. Being mixed race with such polar nationalities makes me free. People don't know how to pigeon-hole me and I'm not obliged to follow formal traditions. I can fit in anywhere. I smile at this paradox, it helps me focus on other soul-guiding mechanisms than country, skin colour, culture. Maybe that's why I search for new and creative approaches. My ex-boss once called me 'A walking cross-art form.' That's true... I do like to mix and cross things. It's hard to find your own definitions and boundaries. It's personal but somehow you don't do it alone. People are my 'home'. .
